Over the years I have learned how to balance a consistent style that has room for customization based on how the day feels and the couple’s personality. One thing that is constant is that I prefer to edit in a way that tells your story. This includes capturing audio of things like toasts, vows, and other things that are said throughout the day. If you are not expecting much of these moments through the day, I can edit more of a music style video, though I believe I do my best work with pure emotion and story through audio & video.
I love weddings with deep greens, beautiful details, pure emotion. I’ve filmed in ballrooms and on private farmland. I enjoy both equally. I prefer to use music as a tool to aid in telling the story without it being the focal point. Think cinematic instrumentals mixed with high impact lyrical songs in just the right moments. And of course a high energy reception.
As for shooting the day of, I have a flay-on-the-wall approach that allows the photographer to. do more of the directing (which they often appreciate). I know when to step in and get my shots, but I’ve often been told by past couple’s they forgot I was even there. I believe its important to be a team player with other vendors to make sure the day goes flawlessly and you can be fully present.

As someone that has been in church for most of my life, I understand that most weddings are religious services. Other than being upfront for the bride coming down the aisle shot, I try to stay in the back of the venue or church for the most part with longer lenses. If you are having a Catholic wedding, I would suggest making sure you have a list of the rules for video & photo prior to booking. Regardless, I always try to respect the rules in place while still getting the best shots I can.

As my company has grown over the years, I’ve had to balance giving each wedding the time it deserves and providing every couple an experience where they are not waiting an extended time to receive their gallery.
That said, while my goal is to provide galleries quickly, I lean more towards giving each wedding the time it deserves. My goal is always to provide galleries within 3-5 months following the wedding day and teasers within 2 weeks.
